Title: Cliff Palace, Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado - 1891

Description:

This view of the south part of Cliff Palace shows some fairly well preserved structures. Built in a large alcove, this is the largest cliff dwelling in the Park, with 22 kivas and more than 150 rooms. Closer to the opening there is more damage, notably to the four-story tower. The structures in front of this tower are covered by rubble. (Gustaf Nordenskiöld).
